Combustible Ice: Energy of the Future

What is "combustible ice"? Gas hydrates, formed under high pressure in the permafrost or cold seabed over a long period of time, often appearing as translucent or opaque ice, can be burned at normal temperature and pressure, thus given the nickname "combustible ice."
