Excerpt from Fifty-Sixth Annual Report of the City of Rochester, New Hampshire: For the Year Ending December 31st, Nineteen Hundred and Forty-Seven Be it resolved by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rochester: That as required by a state law, passed in 1943, a public hearing on the City Budget shall be held and that the City Clerk be and hereby is instructed to publish a notice of said hearing, at least one week in advance of said hearing; and post notices in two public places, together with a summary of the Budget as submitted, at least one week in advance of said hearing.
