Major Problems Learners Face in English Speaking Classrooms

Speaking is one of the skills that students learn in their language class. For learners who are studying English as a foreign language, it is very imperative to experience real communicative situations in which they will learn how to express their own ideas and opinions, and to develop their oral fluency and accuracy, which are very vital for the success of foreign language communication. This skill is believed to be developed by interacting with peers and participating in classroom discussion. Studies in language learning have addressed the necessity of classroom interaction or students' oral participation in class. Classroom interaction involves the verbal exchanges between learners and teachers. However, getting students to respond in a language classroom especially a foreign language class is a problem that most language teachers face. The problem could be due to different factors.
