The Perfect Dress is a thirty year saga of an orphaned girl growing up in Chicago, San Francisco and Hawaii. The main character, Mary Leigh Worth, is a bridal designer wannabe possessing fantastic skills in the field of design and creation but sabotages her career for a drop-dead gorgeous Egyptian-American airline pilot whom she cannot have due to a pre-arranged marriage he must fulfill.
