Export activities have traditionally been neglected by United States businesses, which have shown a marked preference for foreign investment in international business activities. Consequently, export operations have received little attention in the literature of international marketing, even though these operations can contribute to a firm's growth and profitability as well as to the growth and stimulation of the U.S. economy as a whole. This book attempts to bridge this gap, addressing the management of export operations and stressing the marketing aspects of exporting.
